NFL Reports: QB Aaron Rodgers Set To Return For Practice Soon?
Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the New York Jets, is allegedly planning to make his comeback from a ruptured Achilles tendon against the Washington Commanders in Week 16.
NFL Reports: QB Aaron Rodgers Set To Return For Practice Soon?
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Rodgers would only make a comeback if the Jets are still in the running for the playoffs. However, that date has been loosely marked as a goal. With a 4-5 record going into Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills, Rodgers’ return won’t make sense until New York has a successful month.

Even so, Rodgers’ recuperation timeframe would be superhuman if he rejoins the Jets on the day he wants to. A video of their four-time NFL MVP quarterback working out this week “mind-blown” the squad.
It would be 82 days from December 2nd till Rodgers’ return from injury. That would mean that 80 days had passed since his September 13 “speed bridge” surgery.

It is no secret that Aaron Rodgers will only make a comeback if his club is still in the running for the playoffs. It would now take a huge winning run to move New York back to the top of the AFC.
Jets coach Robert Saleh stated earlier this week that he thinks Rodgers can pull off the incredible comeback.

Saleh told reporters on Wednesday, “Aaron’s a big boy, a grown man, and no one’s going to know Aaron’s body like Aaron knows his body.” “And if he feels after all the doctors clear him—I’m sure there’s a million of them, I have no idea—but if Aaron says he wants to play, he’s going to play.”
Having said that, the Jets remain competitive. Returning Aaron Rodgers to the field would be a huge help to an offence that, under Zach Wilson, has been incredibly inconsistent and frequently terrible.
